Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, personable and highly motivated people to join our Students' Union reception and communications team. In this exciting role, you will help run the Students' Union reception on the Canterbury campus, which includes promoting the core services of the Students' Union and supporting the creation and delivery of communications campaigns.

We want you to deliver friendly, efficient customer service, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our students and provide support with digital communications.
The post-holder will provide administrative, customer service and communications support to the Students Union.
This includes greeting and directing visitors, answering and routing phone calls, managing the front desk, supporting the Communications team and providing general administrative support.
 
This is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about customer service and promoting the work of the Students' Union.

Duties and responsibilities

• The first point of contact for visitors to the Students’ Union building Opening and closing building
• Delivering outstanding customer service
• Signposting visitors and providing information about the Union and University
• Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner
• To support the Communications team in the coordination and development of our marketing and communication channels.
• Monitor the website to ensure all information is accurate and to liaise with specific departments, as an when required, to ensure all sections are kept up-to-date
• To support the Communications Manager on specific student engagement projects such as, Freshers’ and Elections
• General office administration duties, as required by the Communications Manager.
