Role
The Student Ambassador Scheme is an ideal student job that gives the opportunity to represent the University - working part time and flexible hours at our campuses, in schools and colleges in the surrounding areas, as well as the opportunity to attend events nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance and develop new skills as well as improving your employability prospects once you’ve completed your time with us. With opportunities to work in Marketing, Sales, Digital Technology, Event Management or Administration, work is available all year round, and you will be employed for the duration of your course. The work is paid; fun and you’ll make lots of new friends.
We provide full training in all areas of work and we encourage applications from students studying at all levels.
Duties and responsibilities
The key areas where you will work is supporting events and activities aimed at young people, parents, teachers/advisers and prospective students including our University Open Days, Careers Fairs, Graduation, UCAS conventions and Summer Schools, as well as supporting clearing hotlines and general administrative support in the University offices.
Our Student Ambassador scheme has been created to ensure students have access to employment whilst at University, to create brand advocates for Staffordshire University and to inspire young people to consider Higher Education.
Skills and experience
The role is suitable for full or part time students at Staffordshire University, London campus, you will need excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to clearly communicate with people at all levels, including pupils, parents, prospective students, teachers and academic staff. The ability to work on your own initiative is essential, as is the skill to work as part of a team. You will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude with experience or willingness to work with young people.
