Description

Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.
 

Based in UTC in Gas Turbines and Transmissions, Faculty of Engineering, Jubilee Campus, this role looks at analysis of multiple conceptual designs via theoretical calculations in collaboration with other research staff and liaison with external partners.

Theoretical calculations of liquid film flow and heat transfer
Review of literature
Reporting to partners both written and verbal
Attendance at meetings physically and/or remotely
Understanding of heat transfer
Experience of applied heat transfer calculations in engineering systems
Evidence of ability to complete analytical/theoretical analysis for heat transfer
Understanding of two phase liquid-gas fluid flow
Experience of analytical approaches to calculating fluid flow, analysis of free surface systems would be beneficial
Evidence of ability to complete analytical/theoretical analysis for fluid flow (not CFD)
 
Mandatory qualification: Minimum Maths BSc or Engineering (chemical, mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering) BEng minimum to a high standard with proven Thermofluids or appropriate content

The pay rate will be a minimum of £16.66 p/h up to a maximum of £27.48 p/h depending on experience
