Description

Role
The University has been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund and has matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth. As the Project Coordinator, you will provide business administration and will ensure the closure of the project is managed effectively, meeting all funding requirements.

This is a fixed term role until 30th June 2023.

This role is full time 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, however, we would consider splitting into a job share between two people working part time.

Duties and responsibilities
Manage and monitor the programme to ensure all milestones are achieved as set out in the Service Level Agreement and to manage the project closure process.

Manage the processes for the collection and collation of essential paperwork and records. and ensure they are future proof for audit.

Ensure that the project audit trail is robustly maintained and recorded for all partners, that all activities are eligible and monitored on a regular basis and achieve the project objectives and budget requirements.

Working on own initiative, communicate effectively and persuasively with internal and multiple external delivery partners to obtain the required evidence to substantiate project output and financial claims.

Manage the project budget and expenditure, providing accurate and timely financial and output claims and profiles for the project.

Communicate effectively and persuasively with delivery partners and university finance teams regarding reimbursement of all claims in a timely manner.

Produce and collate Management Information for project reporting purposes.

Represent the university and the project at events and meetings.

Skills and experience
The post holder will be likely educated to A level or equivalent.

Experience of working in a customer service/ customer facing role

Experience of project working ideally in a similar role

Experience of working in a busy office environment responding to
multiple demands at a time.

Experience of financial and general monitoring and management systems

A team-player with good interpersonal skills.

Client focused recognising that clients are both internal and external.

Ability to identify and resolve problems to ensure objectives are met.

Ability to interpret complex guidelines.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Empathetic and able to develop rapport with clients and colleagues.

IT literate with experience of using Excel (intermediate / advanced),
Word and Outlook

Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload and meet
deadlines.

Ability to work on own initiative as well as under instruction.

Proactive and flexible individual with a ‘can do’ attitude.

Location
Waterside Campus - The University Of Northampton - but potential for flexible working
