Role
This role will support the development and management of institution-wide marketing and recruitment campaigns in order to meet recruitment targets.

The post holder will be working closely with the all of the recruitment teams such a Schools and College liaison team, faculty marketing, web and the International Office.

In supporting colleagues across DMU you will develop high impact, effective marketing content and materials. The role will liaise with external suppliers as well and the in-house team to produce high quality digital collateral and marketing items.

This role includes regular production of content to support the campaign across aa number of digital platforms for both paid and organic promotion as well as producing the prospectuses, conversion plans, digital advertising campaigns, open day development and web presence.

The role will start ASAP with a proposed end date of 31/03/2023.

Duties and responsibilities
- Support the Senior Marketing Campaign Officer on the review, development and implementation of marketing campaigns
- To liaise with the Recruitment teams to support the development of effective
- recruitment campaigns
- Develop and propose highly creative and innovative marketing and recruitment solutions
- To input and propose ideas to wider marketing and recruitment plans as required.
- To work closely with the Head of Campaigns and Senior Marketing Campaign officers to ensure all work is on brand, to brief, highly creative, appropriate for the target audience and impactful
- To support the management and implementation of the conversion process and help manage workflow for the conversion process through advance planning and close
- Liaison with the wider team
- Ensure that marketing projects such as prospectuses creation and recruitment events are delivered in line with guidelines and compliant to University practices
- To work closely with authorised external digital media agencies and communications providers as appropriate to deliver high quality and first class materials
- Coach and work with the internal Content teams to plan and develop content for use across social media channels to support brand awareness, and to reach and engage target audiences
- Support student recruitment events for home and overseas markets including utilising social and digital platforms effectively
- To track and evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns ensuring
that new and innovative technologies are exploited when devising marketing
campaigns
- Liaise with the Communications and Events teams to capitalise on all available
digital opportunities for DMU
- Collaborate with the Market Insight team to keep abreast of changing patterns in
the HE market, and utilise the intelligence to provide a supporting steer for the
Head of Marketing and Recruitment in tactical and operational planning and
delivery
- Produce key marketing content, including basic photography, video and digital
design as well as producing compelling marketing copy for digital, social and
traditional media
- To support the Head of Campaigns and Senior Marketing Officers in the delivery of
recruitment campaigns, home and overseas
- To make presentations both internally and externally to a range of levels as
necessary.
- To develop and maintain an expert knowledge of DMU, home and overseas
university trends, policies, legislation and processes (to include admissions)
- To undertake travel to attend recruitment activities, including overseas, and
regularly work out of hours supporting a range of events
- Perform any other duties commensurate with the job grade as reasonably required
from time to time.

Skills and experience
Educated to degree level or equivalent
experience

Experience of working in a marketing
team or environment

Experience in digital marketing
campaign delivery

Experience in delivering high quality
and innovative marketing solutions

Understanding and experience of
effective use of social media platforms
for marketing

Experience in working with external
media providers and suppliers

Experience in working across teams

A strong ability to persuade and
influence colleagues

Experience in developing digital
content, to include basic photography,
video and design

Experience in communicating and
presenting to different target audiences
(internal and external)

Good knowledge of, and experience in
using CRM systems

Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills

Proven ability to work under pressure
and to meet deadlines

Flexible and creative approach to work,
including a willingness to embrace
change and new ideas
