Would you like to help to welcome our new students to The University of Salford?  We wish to recruit a number of Student Ambassadors who have a good knowledge of the University and great communication skills. We are enthusiastic about life at Salford, and we would like you to share this with our new students.

You will be employed on a flexible basis, assisting with a range of events and activities throughout the welcome weeks of new term. Working with the department for Student Experience and Support, the work will be supporting welcome events for new students in September. You will engage students to give feedback through our publication ‘Student Voice’ including student surveys, such as the National Student Survey.

You will receive full training and flexible hours are available throughout September. There may also be the opportunity to take part in out of hours activities including evenings and weekends. The work will be in person on campus, and online through Microsoft Teams events. The number of hours of work will be variable depending on the tasks assigned and your own availability.

You will be providing a friendly welcome to all new students, and helping to deliver a range of activities and services both online and in person to help them settle in, make friends and make a positive start to their university life. A main part of the work supporting the completion of student surveys will involve visiting lectures to encourage students to complete feedback surveys, so you must be confident in working on your own or in small groups, and in presenting information to groups in a lecture environment.
