Bayes UG Department are currently looking to recruit an experienced Course Officer to support them for the upcoming academic term.
• To respond professionally to queries from staff, students & prospective students in relation to the course and all related regulations and procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
• To deal with any problems or issues raised by students, offering advice or referring them to the appropriate Department.
• To maintain clear communications with students regarding all course related matters, using appropriate methods.
• To maintain the student records system (SITS) and student files, ensuring student records are up to date and accurate at all times, including processing student withdrawals, transfers and suspensions.
• To assist with the updating and distributing course handbooks and other course related material as required.
• Administrative support for student surveys, annual programme evaluations and module evaluations.
• Acting as Committee Secretary to the Programme Management Committee and Student-Staff Liaison Committee and attend other Programme meetings as appropriate.
• Support for internal and external programme accreditation, approval and review processes

• To provide cover during the absence of other Course Officers and Course/Student Administrators. If required, deputise for the Senior Course Officer.
• To assist with the general administration of the Office.
• To carry out School specific duties as required
- Educated to A level or equivalent
- Experience of working in a busy customer focused office dealing with a various diverse stakeholders
- Experience multi-tasking in a high volume administrative capacity
- Experience of working in the Higher Education sector.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to take a flexible and proactive approach to work
- A flexible approach to change
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent numeracy skills
- The ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident in the use of IT systems, particularly the use of MS office packages, Excel and databases.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with enquiries effectively and efficiently and with tact and diplomacy

* Potential for remote working 2-3 days per week

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday; 9.00 - 17.00
