KidsAid are a Northamptonshire based charity that provides therapeutic and counselling support to children, young people and their families that are suffering from trauma. Charity Registration Number 1167852
To assist in developing the charity’s fundraising and marketing campaigns and to increase fundraising relationships by providing excellent stewardship to charity supporters and volunteers.

The role will report to the Fundraising Manager.

Duties include:

•To design or produce marketing materials, such as posters, flyers and brochures to be used for the promotion of charity fundraising and charity events

•To increase the charity social media presence to gain support, followers and interest through utilising social media platforms. Taking ownership of social media platforms to monitor activity, stewarding supporters and optimise the promotion of the charity.

•To assist the Fundraising Manager in creating new fundraising methods and activity plans that maximise participation or contributions.

•To assist in planning, co-ordination and delivery of charity events. To support the Fundraising Manager to organise events, including liaising with venues and attendees and representing the charity if required

•Develop or implement fundraising activities, such as annual giving campaigns or direct mail programs.

•To provide support to volunteers

•Create or update donor databases

•Developing and updating a suite of thank you letter templates

•Liaising with suppliers, supporting with procurement, and taking responsibility for stock control of fundraising materials

•Working with the Fundraising Manager to create and maintain positive relationships with supporters; ensuring they are properly supported and thanked whilst maximising PR opportunities.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Confident, polite and cheerful telephone manner with clear diction

•Good organisation - proactive and able to demonstrate how to use initiative

•Administrative and project management skills

•Be an engaged and positive team member

•Be able to think creatively and be open to new ways of doing things

•IT literate and highly adept in the use of MS Office suite. Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiar with email, internet and experience of social media channels

•Able to maintain, develop and grow customer relations

•Flexible regarding tasks and willing to work event hours when required.
Expenses will be paid for any travel to events incurred.
This internship is for second and final year students. It is a 6 month internship and you will receive £8.91ph.
