Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.

Digital Ambassadors are recruited by the Society for Natural Sciences to raise the profile of Natural Sciences amongst potential applicants and employers. This entails planning, creating and posting content on our social media channels, planning and creating video content to support events and be used on social media, and taking an overview of our digital presence for recruitment.

CLOSING DATE: 28/01/2022. Please note that the role may close early to applications – apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment

This is a remote position that will require:

Participate in editorial meetings to pitch ideas for digital content/projects and plan activity.

Create regular posts for social media to promote the Society, university programmes in Natural Sciences, and HE in this medium.

Undertake photography and video work to support content creation.

Edit video content together to produce a finished videos to use on social media and at events.

Represent a range of interests and opportunities available in Natural Sciences programmes at member institutions of the Society equally without preference or favour

Offer information, advice and guidance to prospective students.

Take part in online, live events and Q&As with prospective students and offer holders.

Act as a role model for prospective students

Interviews will be online via teams/zoom. Training would be online as will editorial meetings and work will be remote based on agreed content to be produced and timescales.

1 Hour per week for 20 weeks in term-time only

The length of assignment will be 6 months in the first instance but will be 12 month academic year role longer term and DAs can be reemployed in the following year.
