Description

We are looking to recruit a Project Coordinator to work on a full time basis working 37.5 hours per week. The working hours are 9:00-17:30 Monday to Friday. The role is temp to perm after a set duration working as a temporary member of staff.

We are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role as the complexities of the work, time pressures and speed of work regularly requires team members to have prior depth of knowledge to be able to keep pace. The experience may not be necessary if the candidate can show enthusiasm and capability with the required skills to fulfil the requirements for this job.
We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our growing team for high-performance electrical systems comprising mechanical, electronic & software elements in the fields of robotics, automotive, aerospace, marine, utilities and renewable-energy.

Require a can-do approach with a good knowledge of the scientific process, as well as being able to converse with diverse groups of people within the company.

Please note that this is a role with an external client and not within De Montfort University.

The rate of pay is based on a salary of £25,000. However, the pay is negotiable depending on experience and up to £32,000.
• Juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Support Project Leads in all project related areas
• Update the project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organizational goals as directed by Project Officer
• Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets
• Achieve organizational goals while upholding standards and best practices
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
• Support Project Leads in updated integrated, multi-track project performance databases for multiple digital and experiential projects, with an eye on overall progress
• Ensure all parts of an assigned project are processed, organized, and progressing according to predetermined timelines and deliverable dates
• Develop and maintain project performance databases that track overall progress and the accomplishment of specific milestones
• Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
• Designing and controlling the project schedule.
• Preparing presentations to update senior management on the project's progress and showcase the project's value.
• Tracking and communicating project risks and opportunities.
• Assist in assigning project tasks to relevant parties and check in for status updates as directed by Project Lead
• Act as a point of communication between company teams and external resources
• Deepen partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and researchers
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• 2+ years’ project coordinator experience
• Candidate should have a background and/or a good understanding of avionics, aerospace engineering, or systems
• Hands-on experience with managing clients and teams
• Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management
• Ability to work independently
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Defence knowledge or experience
• Related professional certifications (Agile/ Prince2)
• Experience with Monday.com/ Microsoft Project
You will be required to work from the clients office Monday to Friday.
