Description

To assist with co-ordinating up to 24 stewards in a venue and assist the Duty Manager in the smooth running of front of house.  To co-ordinate a group of Welcome Guide stewards to ensure the customer experience and flow throughout the foyers.  
  • To attend a briefing with the Duty Manager at the start of the shift, allocate stewards to tasks and brief them accordingly
  • If necessary, to lead the evacuation of a venue under the direction of the Duty Manager
  • To check all emergency exits are clear and assist with stewards’ evacuation training
  • To run steward briefing sessions and deliver steward training sessions in line with front of house training programme
  • To answer any questions and queries from customers in a professional and efficient manner
  • To consistently deliver excellent customer service (SPARKLE) to all Arts Centre users.  Ensure all of the stewards are consistently delivering SPARKLE customer experience  
  • To guide latecomers to seats as appropriate
  • To de-brief the stewards at the end of the performance and pass on any information to the Duty Manager 
  • To manage the front of house sales of programmes and merchandise including; stock accuracy, assisting in selling, sales figures, cash handling and cashing up and restocking
  • Attend regular training sessions in order to fulfill the role of Events Steward
  • To comprehensively understand and operate within the Warwick Arts Centre health and safety procedures
  • To represent Warwick Arts Centre and the Front of House team in a positive way both within the building and when not on duty
  • To tidy foyer, fill leaflet racks and undertake small admin tasks for the Duty Manager
  • To promote and comply with Warwick Arts Centre policies on equal opportunities, dress code and health and safety, both in the delivery of service and in the treatment of others
Essential
  • To have experience in a customer facing role and a track record of delivering exceptional customer service
  • To have good communication and numeracy skills 
  • To have a clear understanding of Health and Safety and evacuation policies
  • To be able to prioritise tasks when under pressure
  • To have good team-working skills
  • To have good attention to detail
  • To have experience of cash-handling
