Food Production Operative

1 day to 4 days to suit Min 10.5 hours per day. Start times vary depending on department and range from 07:00 – 10:00, finish times range from 18:00-22:00




Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.

This client produces a variety of bespoke cooked and raw ready-to-eat vegetables and carbohydrates such as rice & pasta, which they supply to hospitality sectors, chilled food manufacturers, retail, foodservices and food-to-go operators.

There are a wide variety of tasks involved from the initial receipt of product at Goods in, through various stages of preparation of product through to final pack and dispatch of product.

Your main duties will be to carry out tasks as provided in the preparation, cooking, packing and dispatch departments.

Depending on which department you are assigned to your duties will include for example chopping and slicing of vegetables, blanching, roasting and chargrilling of product. Mixing ingredients, weighing & bagging and packing, labelling and final despatch of products.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping for your work area and adhere to companies rules and procedures attaining to food quality standards and health & safety of yourself and your colleagues.

No skills or experience is required, however previous experience of working within a food environment is advantageous.

You will be provided with a full introduction to the company and complete a food safety induction before commencing your assignment.


£8.91 per hour
